Associate Attorney

Qualifications: 

  • Licensed and in good standing in the Montana or eligible for admission
  • 2 or more year experience with any one or more of the following areas:  
    • Estate Planning
    • Elder Law
    • Real Estate Transactions
    • Probates
    • Trust administration
    • Business transactions
    • Tax Law
  • Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal;
  • Sound and practical business judgment;
  • Experience in negotiations;
  • Excellent people skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision;
  • Possess excellent organizational & time-management skills in order to meet strict deadlines

Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Qualifications: 
 
•Bachelors Degree/Paralegal Degree or a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
 
 
•Great communication skills, both written and verbal;
•Outstanding time management skills;
•Highly organized;
•Ability to work independently and as part of team;
•Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
•A good sense of humor;
•Ability to work with people in tough situations;
 
Working knowledge and competency in the following programs:
•Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in particular);
• PDF software
 
Responsibilities
 
•Full time (40 hours per week)
•Case/file management and organization;
•Ensures drafts, incoming/outgoing documents, notes, and other case/file related documents are saved and shared appropriately;
•Maintaining attorneys calendar of case-related events, deadlines, and reminders;
• Communicate with clients, opposing parties, and third-parties;
Preparing and filing documents with courts and administrative bodies;
•Drafting, proofreading, revising, and finalizing legal documents and correspondence
• Answer phones;
• Basic legal research, including analyzing and understanding rules of civil procedure, local court rules, and ensure correct statutory citations;
•Notarize documents (if you are not presently a notary this can be done after hiring).
