NO JERKS POLICY

At Five Valleys Law, P.L.L.C., strong attorney-client relationships are built on trust, respect, clear communication, and shared responsibility. We do our best work with clients who value candid legal advice, provide complete information, and communicate respectfully.

This policy explains the expectations that guide our client relationships:

·         Honest Advice: We give practical, candid guidance so clients can make informed decisions.

·         Clear Communication: We explain legal issues in plain language and expect clients to respond honestly and promptly.

·         Shared Responsibility: Successful representation depends on clients providing complete information, meeting deadlines, reviewing documents carefully, and asking questions when needed.

·         Professional Respect: We treat clients, opposing parties, court staff, professional advisors, and each other with courtesy and respect. We expect the same from our clients.

Five Valleys Law is not the right fit for every legal matter or every client. Before and during representation, we consider whether the matter and the client relationship are a good fit.

Client Fit for Five Valleys Law, P.L.L.C.

A good client fit generally means the client:

  1. Has legal needs within the areas we handle;
  2.          Provides complete and accurate information;
  3.          Understands that legal outcomes cannot be guaranteed;
  4.         Communicates respectfully with our attorneys and staff; and
  5.         Follows agreed communication, billing, and document-review procedures.

Respectful Client Relationships

Legal matters can be stressful, but stress does not excuse abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or consistently disrespectful behavior toward our attorneys, staff, or others involved in a matter.

We do not continue working with clients whose conduct prevents us from providing effective, professional legal services. If concerns arise, we may clarify expectations, set communication boundaries, request missing information, or discuss whether continued representation is appropriate.

Conduct that may interfere with representation includes repeated hostile communications, refusal to provide necessary information, dishonesty, harassment, threats, discriminatory comments, or demands inconsistent with our ethical duties or professional judgment.

If problems continue, Five Valleys Law may decline representation, withdraw when permitted, or end the professional relationship in accordance with applicable law, court rules, ethical duties, and any engagement agreement.

What This Policy Means for Clients

This policy helps protect the quality of our work, the wellbeing of our team, and the respectful attorney-client relationships needed for effective representation.
